El año pasado (2008) tuve la fortuna de estar 3 meses de intercambio en Barcelona. La verdad quede muy impresionado con todo lo que esta ciudad tiene que ofrecer. Hay actividades y lugares para todo tipo de gustos. Personalmente estos son los lugares más memorables para mí, la verdad es que son tantos que tendré que dividir en varias entradas mis lugares preferidos de Barcelona. Si alguien tiene otro lugar que crea que se me escapó y vale la pena visitar coméntenlo! También si quieren saber de otra ciudad o país también dígalo. Trataré de buscar información del mismo a alguien que sea o conozca el país para que nos de información.
Last year I had the opportunity to go on Exchange to Barcelona for 3 months. Truth is that I came away very impressed with all this city has to offer. There are activities and places to visit for all kind of tastes. Personally the following are the most memorable places for me, to be honest there are so many that I will have to divide my favorite Barcelona spots in different entries. If anyone feels that I missed a cool place to visit please tell me so. Also if anyone wants to know about another city or country tell and I look for information about it. I will also try to contact someone from that place or that has visited it so He/She can give us more information.
Parc Güell: Parque diseñado por Antonio Gaudí (que parece que sus obras están en todos los rincones de Barcelona, definitivamente el arquitecto que más influencia ha tenido sobre la ciudad). La vista desde este parque es asombrosa además que el parque en si es una obra de arte. Es un buen lugar para caminar y relajarse un poco. Aunque en el parque hay mucho turista el parque es lo suficientemente grande para encontrar zonas de tranquilidad para descansar y leer un libro.
Parc Güell: This park was designed by Antonio Gaudí (it seems that his workd are everywhere in Barcelona, definitely He is the architect that has had the most influence over this city). The view from this park is amazing and the park by itself is a work of art. It is a good place to walk and relax a bit. Athough there are a lot of tourists in the park it is big enough to find quiet zones where one can relax and read a book.

Sagrada Familia: Esta iglesia, en construcción desde 1882, todavía no está terminada pero ya es todo un monumento y una obra maestra de Gaudí. Para mi es muy importante el hacer notar que Gaudí estaba muy comprometido con este proyecto dedico los últimos años de su vida a esta iglesia. Creo que esto puede ser por dos razones: por un lado fue considerada su obra más grande y quería dejarla lo más terminada posible, por otro lado también esta dedicación pudo ser por la fé que tenía Gaudí. Conforme su vida fue avanzando y tuvo contacto con la iglesia católica Gaudí fue creciendo en fe, terminando siendo un católico devoto. En fin, si alguna vez van a Barcelona no pueden dejar de visitar esta maravillosa iglesia.
Sagrada Familia: This church, under construction since 1882, is still not finished but it is already a Gaudí Masterpiece. For me it is very important to stress that Gaudí was very committed to this project and he dedicated the last years of his life to his church. I believe this can be for two reasons: Because this church was considered his biggest project and He wanted to leave it as finished as he could and because of Gaudí´s faith. As Gaudí grew and had contact with the Catholic Church his faith was growing as well, becoming a devout catholic. Anyway, if you ever go to Barcelona, you can’t miss this marvelous church.
Cervecería Catalana: Un lugar clásico para comer o cenar. Las tapas son excelentes y hay una gran variedad de cervezas. Para el promedio de precios en Barcelona el lugar no es caro pero casi siempre está lleno por lo que hay que ir con la mentalidad de esperar unos 20 minutos para conseguir una mesa o ir a horas menos congestionadas. Los postres también valen la pena. Por ahí hay un pastel que encima tiene crema catalana que es delicioso! Se los recomiendo….
Cervecería Catalana: This is clasic place to get lunch or dinner. The tapas are excellent and there is a great variety of beers. For Barcelona´s standards this place is not expensive but it is always full so you have to go with the mind-set to wait for 20 minutes for a table or to go at less busy hours. The deserts are also worth it. They have a cake that has crema catalana on top that is delicious! I highly recommend it.

Definitivamente una ciudad en la que me gustaría vivir, y tienes razón, son tantos los lugares y tan variados que no es fácil escoger.
Sin embargo, me gustaría mencionar una pequeña ciudad muy cerca de Barcelona que se llama Girona, en la que se filmaron diversas escenas de la película "El Perfume", (de hecho ahí se ubica el aeropuerto de bajo costo para poder llegar a Barcelona)
esta padrisismo esta tu blog, me encanta que pongas aqui todo sobre barcelona porquee me voy en septiembree y solo tengo menos de un mes asi que quieroo sacarle el jugo del mundo!!!! dime mas sobre que actividades hacer, que mas vale la pena conocer... a donde me recomiendas salir a cenar aparte de la cerveceria catalana (tambien pon la direccion) jajaja, baresitos, etc etc todo lo que me recomiendes, en donde me recomiendas hospedarme... y todo va????? espero con ansias mas informacion!!!! gracias
A mí en lo personal me encanta Barcelona también! Qué padre que tuviste la oportunidad de vivir ahí 3 meses!!! Y estoy de acuerdo con los lugares que recomiendas, el Parc Güell es uno de mis lugares favoritos, la Sagrada Familia también! Además de que hay muchas casas que ahora son museos también diseñadas por él. Otro "must do" es caminar por las Ramblas y disfrutar de la vista de la gente que va pasando y de la caminata en general... Lo que no conozco es la Cervecería Catalana, pero si voy pronto seguro que sigo tus recomendaciones! Gracias!
HOLA ME GUSTARIA QUE PLATICARAS ACERCA DE QUE LUGARES CERCA DE BARCELONA PUEBLITOS Y ASI VALEN LA PENA... TAMBIEN SI CONOCES MARRUECOS ESTARIA INCREIBLE QUE HICIERAS UN ESCRITO DE AHI... CON FOTOS QUE HACER POR ALLA... EN DONDE TOMAS EL BARQUITO, O COMO TE VAS... ETC ETC. GRACIAS!!!!!
Bancelona es sin duda una bella ciudad que no hay que dejar de visitar cuando uno pisa suelo español, la recomiendo mucho y no escatimen en disfrutar lo que ofrece, y si saben buscarle bien, en barcelona todo tiene un precio.
